Phantom Aeronautics Phantom X-1 and Phantom X-1E single place light sport eligible aircraft.

One of the strongest and best performing light sport aircraft produced to date is the Phantom single place aircraft now manufactured by Phantom Aeronautics of Three Rivers Michigan.

The Phantom was one of the first three axis control aircraft to enter the market back in the hey day of ultralight aviation.

It was so well built that very few things have changed on it over twenty years after it first entered production.

The Phantom is a simple bolt and rivet together kit. No special tools are needed to build it and it the project can be completed in a single car garage. Building times are reported to be in the 100 to 150 hour range.

The Phantom has a steerable nosewheel tri-cycle gear, tractor style aircraft with standard three axis stick and rudder controls using a left hand throttle and right hand stick.
