All of the fiberglass work such as the hull, wing tips, front deck, rear enclosure are done at the factory for the customer. All of the aluminum tubing used in the plane from the main fuselage boom to the wing spars and ribs are pre bent, cut, and drilled. All of the control cables, retract cables, throttle cables are pre cut and pre-swedged. The kit as supplied requires no welding by the customer. | The wing uses tube and ladder bolt together construction, with a "wing cuff" used on the leading edge to provide a smooth even airfoil. The wing ribs are riveted into position, as are the fiberglass wing tips. The wing and tail feathers are covered in standard aircraft covering materials. While no special tools are required to build the plane, having an air compressor, and an air riveter will ease the work load considerably. The craft can easily be built in the area of a two car garage. The kit should take between 400 and 600 hours to complete with 75% of this being the building of the airframe, wings, tail section, covering and 25% the installation of the engine, instruments, wiring etc. | | |
