The cabin area is 4 inches wider than a Cessna 172, with plenty of head room. The seats are very comfortable and adjustable fore and aft to accommodate both short and tall pilots. Controls feature dual stick and rudder pedals with a center mounted Vernier style throttle. The flaperon handle is located on the ceiling centered between the two seats. The control system uses push pull tubes connected to a 2 inch torque tube. The flaperons have three positions 6, 12 and 18 degrees and can be reflexed 5 degrees when flying for an increased cruising speed. The doors open forward and when closed the top half of the doors can be opened by folding them down. For pilots wanting an even better view the doors can be completely removed, without adversely effecting the flying characteristics of the plane! The storage area behind the seat can carry up to 175 lbs. and the craft actually has an option for a third seat which can be located there. Fuel gauges are simple and accurate site gauges located in the wing root, which either pilot can view by glancing up at them. Visibility forward and to the side is good, but the addition of skylights in the ceiling greatly enhances the visibility and brightens up the cabin. |
