EuroFox from Rollison light sport aircraft now SLSA approved.

One of the companies on the leading edge of the light sport aircraft scene has been Rollison Light Sport Aircraft of Indiana.

The two aircraft that he chose are the Remos G3 600 and the EuroFox. The EuroFox get's it's heritage from Dean Wilson's Avid Flyer. The major differences being that the plane is manufactured not in the U.S. by in the Czech Republic, and is not available in kit form is sold under the new Light Sport Plane category as a test flown ready to fly aircraft.

While the EuroFox might outwardly look like and Avid or Kitfox it has undergone "major design research, to make it a smoother flying. Some of these refinements include repositioning of the flaperons for optimum performance. Widening the fuselage, doors and seats for more room an better pilot comfort.

The control system is standard stick and rudder, with dual sticks and rudder pedals, and a center mounted Verner throttle, for very smooth and controlled throttle input.

Power is supplied by the Rotax 912 S 100 HP 4 cylinder liquid cooled engine. This gives the EuroFox a cruise speed of 115 mph, with about 5 hours of range with fuel on board. The fuel tanks are located in the wings and feed down to a header tank.

The EuroFox comes with a standard VFR instrument package, which can be expanded to whatever the pilot desires. Other standard features include, skylight, wheel pants, FIDI three blade composite propeller, and various paint schemes.

The craft is available in either a tri-cycle gear or tail dragger configuration with both having 10 minute folding wing capabilities for short trailering on the gear or storage.

Currently there are not EuroFox aircraft flying on floats but it is anticipated that a float mounting system will be introduced in the near future.

The EuroFox has been in production since the mid 1990's and there are currently close to 200 flying world wide.
